How to Play Super Liquid Soccer
From the title screen pick a Cup arc against AI, a Quick Match, a Penalty Shootout, or Local PvP if you have a friend on the keyboard. Choose between national teams (Brasil, Croatia, Espana...), pub-team filler squads, or mix a custom roster from any of them. Each match is 7v7 over a single 90-second half — no offside, no VAR, throw-ins and corners replay quickly, and the ref waves most slide tackles on. Score more than the opponent before the buzzer to advance.
The twist is the physics. Every player is a wobbly, semi-rigid blob and the ball moves with its own jelly weight — passes flutter, shots ripple, and headers ping off at angles no realistic sim would allow. Tap the shoot key for a quick toe poke; hold it to charge a rocket strike that punches through a stationary keeper. Local PvP shares one keyboard across split screen, which is what most people end up replaying for.

Charge shots only with a clean lane
Holding J locks the player into a wind-up animation. Charge only when you have a clear sight line to goal — a midfielder caught charging in their own half is an interception waiting to happen.
Chip the rushing keeper
The AI keeper sprints off the line aggressively. A chip (L) clears them far more reliably than a power blast once they leave the six-yard box — bank the shot off the bar if the angle is tight.
Pre-switch before the ball arrives
Auto-switch lags by half a beat in the wobbly traffic. Press Q or E onto the receiver while the ball is still in flight so you can react the instant it lands instead of fumbling the controls.
Local PvP is the real game
Couch split-screen with a friend produces messier, funnier matches than the AI ever will — the liquid physics shine when both sides are panicking. Save Cup mode for solo wind-down sessions.
